These ornaments are quite popular. Decide on the keepsake you want to encapsulate in the ornament. As example, write down any message that you want to enclose in your time capsule. Roll up the message. Put it inside the ornament and close it. We'll include a seal with it (or make one of your own!). The seal is not necessary. Rather, the seal is used to date or otherwise identify the ornament.  Hang the ornament on your Christmas tree or use it for any decorative occasion. Whether you open it this Christmas, or at any other time, you have captured a beautiful memory inside a beautiful piece of woodworking.

We like to create the ornaments from two contrasting species of wood.  Unless otherwise specified by our customer, we typically use maple and walnut as in the samples shown. We can size the body of the ornament to your specification. As example, the memory message in our gallery is typed on paper 2" high and rolled to a diameter of about 1/2". Customers have used our ornaments to encapsulate rings, mini photos, a lock of hair, keys and various other items.

Each ornament is hand made. The wood is finished with a clear oil, followed by a friction polish. Tell us about your preferences for a time capsule ornament and we will create it.
